What you will do

• Implement and optimize Dolby Imaging/Video algorithms in Embedded C for Smart TVs and Set-Top Boxes.
• Port floating-point models from MATLAB/Python to efficient fixed-point C code for DSPs and SoCs.
• Accelerate imaging pipelines for high-performance video rendering and HDR processing.
• Perform performance profiling and bottleneck analysis to optimize memory and CPU usage.
• Collaborate with product managers and SQA to improve test automation and deliver quality software.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow CI/CD best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in imaging, system/application engineering, and multimedia technologies.
• Expert Embedded C proficiency (modern C++ plus).
• Experience porting MATLAB code to C/C++.
• Expertise in fixed-point arithmetic, SIMD (NEON) optimization, manual memory management.
• Familiarity with TV/STB software stack, Linux kernel video drivers, SoC architectures (MediaTek, Broadcom).
• Strong communication, Agile experience, Git, Jira.

Nice to have

• CUDA or OpenCL for image processing on embedded GPUs.
• Deploying ML models for real-time imaging.
• HDMI 2.x, HDCP, Dolby Vision/HDR10 signaling.
• End-to-end video lifecycle and HDR technologies (HLG, HDR10+).
• Agent-assisted coding tools (Copilot, Cursor) for C optimization and automation.
