Logistic Specialist (Brokerage/Carrier Sales): Secure carrier capacity and manage shipments for a portfolio of 40+ customers with an accent on balancing service, cost, and capacity in import, export, and U.S. domestic freight. Focus on negotiating rates, monitoring on-time performance, building carrier relationships, and optimizing transportation outcomes during tight market conditions.

Location: Monterrey, MX (Hybrid – 3 days in office / 2 days remote). Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

What you will do

• Secure carrier capacity for loads and shipments, influencing availability during tight markets
• Monitor shipments end-to-end, updating status and communicating proactively with shippers, receivers, and carriers
• Negotiate spot rates with carriers and customers, manage detention/expedite approvals
• Build and maintain relationships with carriers, shippers, and receivers
• Train customers and carriers on TMS tools, create SOPs, and identify performance trends
• Support onboarding, coordinate multi-node shipments, and demonstrate ownership of accounts

Requirements

• 1+ years experience in logistics, transportation, or customer service
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Spanish and English (written, verbal, presentation)
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas)

Nice to have

• 3+ years experience in logistics, transportation, or customer service
• Understanding of freight operations (import/export, domestic)
• Experience with reporting, analytics, BI tools
• SAP experience
