Senior Windows Server Infrastructure Analyst: Execute in-place upgrades from Windows Server 2016 to 2022/2025 and migrate key server roles in complex enterprise infrastructure with an accent on Active Directory optimization, VMware management, and system stability. Focus on validating compatibility, troubleshooting authentication issues, applying security hardening, and updating disaster recovery plans.

Location: Lutz, FL (North Tampa Area), must work onsite 4 days per week (5 days during critical phases)

Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr

What you will do

• Execute Windows Server upgrades from 2016 to 2022/2025 and migrate roles like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Services, IIS, and Certificates
• Validate application compatibility, test, plan rollbacks, and handle production cutovers while decommissioning legacy systems
• Maintain Active Directory health, optimize Group Policy, troubleshoot authentication issues, and ensure secure configurations
• Support VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter, manage VM migrations, snapshots, and resource adjustments
• Diagnose server, network, and virtualization issues using structured methods and coordinate vendor support
• Apply security hardening, ensure compliance, address vulnerabilities, and update disaster recovery plans and documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years hands-on experience with Windows Server environments
• Proven experience upgrading Windows Server 2016 to 2022/2025
• Strong Active Directory administration expertise
• Experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter
• Solid troubleshooting skills across servers, networking, and virtualization
• Must meet company safety and compliance requirements

Nice to have

• Experience in enterprise environments
• Familiarity with Cisco networking
• Experience supporting firewalls and SAN storage
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
