Quality Control Technician (F/M/D)

TL;DR

Quality Control Technician (Electro-Mechanical): Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of mechanical and electronic components for mobile mapping systems with an accent on ensuring assembly quality and reliability. Focus on recording results, reworking non-conforming parts, escalating issues, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Location: Munich Hybrid. Full visa and relocation support for international candidates.

What you will do

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of mechanical and electronic components including PCBs and cables
• Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify assembly, functionality, and quality standards
• Record inspection results and yields in the quality management system
• Rework non-conforming parts and escalate recurring quality issues to relevant teams
• Collaborate with assembly team to clarify criteria and improve workmanship
• Support commissioning, selected assembly steps, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Very good English communication skills; German is an advantage
• Experience in quality control, ideally in electro-mechanical or manufacturing (~2 years)
• Hands-on experience with mechanical measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Practical knowledge of electronics handling and basic PCB inspection
• Confidence with spreadsheets and quality tracking systems
• Strong attention to detail, structured documentation, and problem-solving mindset
