TL;DR

Tender Manager (Wind Energy): Supporting sales in tender processes for wind power plants with an accent on risk mitigation, cost calculations, logistics, and project execution planning. Focus on evaluating tenders, conducting site surveys, negotiating contracts, and ensuring smooth handover to operations.

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada (onsite office). Must be able to work in Canada with no sponsorship. Ability to travel to US for work/training and obtain passport required. Driving license essential.

Salary: $170k–$190k CAD + up to 15% bonus

What you will do

  • Provide risk reviews and mitigation for sales gate process and contract negotiations.
  • Calculate costs for WTG installation, cranes, logistics, roads, foundations, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Conduct site surveys for accessibility in coordination with logistics.
  • Prepare conceptual project planning during sales phase for smooth operations transfer.
  • Negotiate infrastructure services for turnkey projects with central team.
  • Represent company to clients, participate in contract negotiations, and liaise with engineering, purchasing, service, and legal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in comparable roles with multi-million-dollar contracts, commercial/financial knowledge.
  • Project management experience, preferably wind energy or turnkey construction.
  • Knowledge of local construction/HS&E regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interface skills; proactive and independent.
  • Strong MS Office skills; SAP and MS Project preferred.
  • Fluency in French required; fluent English to communicate safety and job info.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel domestically/internationally.
