TL;DR
Senior Systems Administrator: Design, administer, harden, and improve compute, storage, virtualization, and networking environments with an accent on operational excellence, security, and scalability for a global remote-first organization. Location: Remote (US-based, Seattle WA). No visa sponsorship.
Salary: $130.4K – $163K (US)

What you will do
- Recommend and implement improvements to systems, networks, hardware, and software configurations.
- Maintain and administer computing environments including Linux, macOS, Windows, virtualization, and peripherals.
- Monitor performance, reliability, and security; troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues.
- Design, configure, and implement tests across IT stack, networking, and virtual infrastructure.
- Manage identity and access, security controls, and automation to reduce overhead.
- Develop documentation, runbooks, and procedures; provide leadership and mentorship to team.
Requirements
- 5+ years professional systems administration experience in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux, macOS, Windows desktop/server and endpoint management.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure upgrades, cloud storage, HPC, hybrid deployments.
- Strong knowledge of IAM, least-privilege models, security controls; work with security/compliance teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation skills; lead cross-functional projects.
- Ability to mentor team members.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CI/CD, IaC, SDLC, version control, automation languages.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for scale and AI-forward initiatives.
