Backend Engineer III - Managed Services (Cybersecurity)

Backend Engineer III (Managed Services): Create, enhance, and operate core systems connecting Falcon Complete customers and analysts to the Falcon Platform with an accent on scalability, reliability, and threat detection at scale. Focus on designing microservices, data pipelines, automation, and monitoring solutions to enable analysts to investigate and remediate threats efficiently.

Location: Hybrid role based out of offices in Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA, USA

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement new features and enhancements for Falcon Complete systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to build solutions for real-world cybersecurity challenges.
• Develop reliable, performant, and scalable web services and data pipelines.
• Improve service monitoring and address issues proactively.
• Write automation to reduce operational load.
• Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 operations.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Golang, Python, JavaScript, C++, or Java (willingness to use Golang)
• Experience building web services and data pipelines at scale in microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of relational, NoSQL, graph databases, and messaging systems like Kafka or Kinesis.
• Linux fundamentals, distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Cloud observability tools and ability to thrive in asynchronous, remote-friendly environments.
• Excellent communication and ability to turn high-level requests into engineering requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• Modern AI technologies and security domain products.
• High-level design, architecture, and mentoring experience.
