What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ML platforms, tools, and infrastructure for training, experimenting, and evaluating models.
• Modernize platform by migrating from SGE Grid Engine to Kubernetes-based systems like Slurm or Ray.
• Implement cutting-edge tools for pipeline orchestration, experiment tracking, observability, and model versioning.
• Optimize infrastructure for GPU utilization, scheduling, and distributed training performance.
• Build CI/CD workflows for ML systems including versioning, testing, and automation.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to ensure deployable, reproducible production-ready models.
• Evaluate new tools and contribute to platform roadmap and best practices.

Requirements

• Python skills for production systems.
• Proven ability to optimize model training and inference, including GPU-based and distributed workloads.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong background in monitoring, observability, and reliability for ML platforms.
• Hands-on experience with cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of ML fundamentals, training, evaluation, and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, reproducible workflows, and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience with large-scale data/AI platforms, experiment tracking, governance, and cross-team collaboration.
