Middle+/Senior Applied ML Engineer (AI): Build and optimize ML solutions for real business use cases including OCR, ASR, LLMs, and classification tasks with an accent on training, fine-tuning, data quality, and production readiness. Focus on end-to-end dataset workflows, model optimization for performance and efficiency, and collaboration with engineers for production deployment.

Location: Worldwide remote within time zones GMT-2 to GMT+5. Relocation support to Cyprus, Serbia, Georgia, or Kazakhstan with assistance for employee and family.

What you will do

• Train, fine-tune, and adapt models for practical internal use cases
• Work on ASR tasks including model training, improvement, and adaptation to product needs
• Handle datasets end-to-end: define requirements, prepare and structure data, support labeling, improve quality
• Optimize models for performance, efficiency, and quality trade-offs
• Collaborate with engineers to deploy models into production

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in deep learning and transformers models
• Strong experience with Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) systems
• Proficiency in frameworks like PyTorch
• Understanding of model quality dependence on dataset design, labeling, and data preparation
• Ability to make informed decisions during training and optimization beyond standard notebooks
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
• Familiarity with LLM training/fine-tuning methods like distillation, supervised fine-tuning, policy optimization
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Nice to have

• Experience with OCR systems
• Experience with content understanding or abuse prevention using LLMs
