What you will do

  • Provide support for new practice setups and special projects including research and administrative tasks.
  • Complete, submit, and track provider enrollment applications; follow up with provider relations for completion.
  • Maintain accurate and current provider records in credentialing software (Verity CredentialStream), electronic folders, and spreadsheets.
  • Manage credential files: medical licensure, DEA, COIs; set expiration reminders; handle CAQH re-attestations.
  • Respond to incoming emails and faxes for renewed credentials, W-9s; update files with current documentation.
  • Document daily activities; submit change of information letters to health plans; follow up on application status via calls/emails.

Requirements

  • Preferably college graduate or at least 2 years of college; degrees/courses in medical field a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, able to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in email; ability to handle confidential information and respect HIPAA guidelines.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, dependable, team player supportive of department goals.
  • Must be flexible with schedule.

Nice to have

  • Previous call center experience related to medical accounts and programs.
