Location: Salford – Hybrid
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience

What you will do
- Set and deliver editorial strategy for short-form video across app, website, iPlayer, YouTube, and social platforms.
- Own end-to-end curation approach, defining tone, prioritisation, sequencing, and storytelling in real-time high-volume environments.
- Lead transition from manual to hybrid human-in-the-loop curation with algorithmic systems.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Technology teams to shape discovery, personalisation, and SFV experience evolution.
- Use audience insights and performance data to optimise content, maximise reach and engagement, especially with younger audiences.
- Ensure curated content meets Editorial Guidelines, including third-party and user-generated material.
- Build relationships across Sport and partners, contribute to strategic direction, and deputise for Executive Editor.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in digital media and video platforms, with expertise in short-form video and content curation.
- Proven ability to define and deliver video-first strategies across multiple platforms.
- Experience with algorithmic or data-driven content systems and balancing personalisation with editorial judgement.
- Deep understanding of audience behaviour, particularly mobile-first and younger audiences.
- Strong editorial decision-making in fast-paced, high-profile environments.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing editorial teams.
- Ability to collaborate with Product, Design, and Technology teams.
- Strong use of data and insights for strategy and improvement.
- Thorough knowledge of editorial standards and public service broadcaster responsibilities.
