TL;DR

Content Editor (Conferences and Events): Shaping high-quality, commercially successful event programmes for the Energy, Commodities and Climate portfolio with an accent on B2B event production and speaker acquisition. Focus on researching innovative themes, collaborating with editorial teams, and producing compelling marketing copy to drive audience engagement.

Location: London (Hybrid: averaging 2-3 days onsite)

What you will do

  • Develop and deliver innovative, high-quality programmes for multi-sponsor B2B events.
  • Research and identify high-calibre speakers across industry, policy, and academia.
  • Collaborate with FT editorial and sponsorship teams to align content with journalistic standards and commercial goals.
  • Produce compelling marketing copy for campaigns, advertisements, and social media.
  • Manage live event delivery, including speaker liaison and post-event summaries.
  • Conduct market research to contribute to the development of new event concepts.

Requirements

  • Approximately 2+ years’ experience in B2B or B2C conference production or events.
  • Proven ability to launch new events and grow existing portfolios.
  • Strong research, writing, and content development skills.
  • Excellent project management and organisational abilities.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Strong interest in global business, energy, commodities, and climate topics.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with editorial teams or journalists.
  • Familiarity with digital and hybrid event formats.
  • Knowledge of global energy transition and climate policy landscapes.
