Senior Reporter: Producing engaging local stories for radio bulletins, websites, and social media across Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Fife with an accent on breaking news coverage and multimedia journalism. Focus on on-location reporting, delivering audio/video content, and responding quickly to major stories under pressure.

Location: Full-time onsite in Edinburgh, GB, EH1 3AS. Must live locally on patch to respond quickly to breaking news.

What you will do

• Produce compelling local stories for on-air bulletins and digital platforms.
• Report and produce content on location for major news stories.
• Create pictures, video, and audio for websites and social media.
• Fill in on bulletin reading or reporting shifts as needed.
• Update news content on websites and social media, ensuring legal compliance.
• Deliver first-on-scene reports with high-quality audio, video, and descriptive storytelling.

Requirements

• Genuine passion for news with strong awareness of local, national, and international stories.
• At least two years’ multimedia journalism experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong editorial judgement and drive to break news first.
• Confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm as a trusted local reporter.
• Full UK driving licence - essential.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Edinburgh and live locally.
