Focus on delivering content under tight 24-hour newsroom deadlines and advising editorial teams on suitable archive material.

Location: Hybrid (London, Osterley Campus). Requires a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.

What you will do

• Supply footage required by hirify.global News within tight, fast-moving deadlines.
• Advise news and programming teams on the availability of suitable archive material for specific projects.
• Select footage for archiving and apply searchable metadata.
• Identify and clearly mark third-party material with copyright restrictions.
• Deliver a first-class picture research service vital to the channel’s output.

Requirements

• Demonstrable knowledge of news archiving systems and their use.
• Excellent visual literacy and visual memory.
• Basic understanding of copyright application in a broadcast news environment.
• Resourcefulness and the ability to work methodically under pressure.
• Keen interest in national and international current affairs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
