TL;DR
Lead Software Engineer (Fintech): Building highly performant, accessible consumer experiences and data products for next-generation comparison platforms with an accent on fullstack development using React, Golang, Python and cloud technologies. Location: Hybrid in Cardiff (2 in-office days per week)

What you will do
- Lead technical design and implementation of new features, writing clean, efficient, well-tested code.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to build seamless user interfaces and with backend engineers to define APIs.
- Champion code quality, testing strategies, and use data/logs/metrics to improve performance and reliability.
- Mentor engineers, foster continuous improvement, and drive innovation and team development.
- Define team objectives aligned with organisational goals and facilitate cross-team collaboration.
Requirements
- Experience with high-traffic consumer-facing websites and React; Expo is a bonus.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, A/B testing, monitoring, DevOps, event/data ingestion, and 3rd party API integrations.
- Breadth of software development knowledge, including procedural/functional languages, preferably Databricks, Python, SQL.
- Strong leadership and ability to work autonomously in a small, dynamic team.
- Pragmatic approach to deliver effective solutions for business and consumer challenges.

- Experience with Expo.
