Associate Electrical Engineer (Substation): Support variety of substation projects up to 765kV in engineering detailed design and EPC with an accent on protection and control design, physical layouts. What you will do
- Develop protection and control design deliverables: protective relays, panel arrangements, one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring.
- Create physical design deliverables: yard layouts, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, auxiliary power systems.
- Prepare equipment specifications, BOMs, correspond with clients/vendors/subcontractors.
- Adhere to design budgets/schedules, perform QA/QC, support business development.
- Potential travel to client/vendor sites for reviews, coordination, verification.
- Assign tasks to entry-level professionals/interns, mentor as skills develop.
Requirements
- Burlington, MA, US location; bachelor's degree in engineering from accredited program.
- Minimum 1 year related work experience.
- Complete pre-employment onboarding: background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records.
- Knowledge of departmental design guides, standards, engineering codes, B&V policies.
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables, calculations, data management.
- Interact with clients, project leadership, other disciplines.
Nice to have
- High voltage substation design experience – Physical and/or Protection & Controls.
- Engineering-in-Training (EIT) Certification.
- Proficient with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office.
