Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 USD base + benefits + equity (United States); $110,000 - $145,000 CAD base + benefits + equity (Canada)

What you will do

• Lead the Platform Engineering Team and treat IDP as a product with user interviews, public roadmap, and velocity metrics.
• Design and evolve self-service IDP including CI/CD golden paths, IaC templates (Terraform/Ansible), Kubernetes abstractions, and monitoring integrations.
• Embed secure development, AI workflows with human oversight, and Behavior-Driven Development into platform tools.
• Collaborate with SRE for IDP reliability using shared ownership model.
• Eliminate toil and duplication enabling self-serve deployments, scaling, and observability.
• Apply Theory of Constraints to adoption bottlenecks and conduct quarterly governance reviews.

Requirements

• Strong experience building internal platforms or developer-experience tools at scale.
• Strong background in Kubernetes, GitOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, and self-service portals.
• Product-management mindset with roadmap ownership and customer feedback loops.
• Experience integrating AI tools into workflows while preserving human oversight.
• Familiarity with secure development hygiene (NIST 800-218).
• Cloud-native and automation-first engineering culture; strong leadership.
