What you will do

• Set, communicate, and govern technical standards for data architecture and product development processes.
• Drive creation and implementation of architecture standards, collaborating with engineering and product teams to build backlogs and adjust designs.
• Solve complex data modeling, optimization, location, and other data-related problems, analyzing risks, benefits, and opportunities.
• Translate product requirements into system-level architecture and high-level designs, working with senior technical teams on detailed designs.
• Deliver solutions incrementally with feedback loops, adapting to evolving business and technology landscapes.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in SQL for query optimization and analytics (e.g., Azure Synapse, Oracle, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, OCI) and tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Apache Airflow.
• Expertise in data strategy, creating and managing platform data approaches.
• Design scalable data architectures aligning with business goals; implement data governance, security, and compliance.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency.
• 7–10+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or related roles with focus on cloud and big data technologies.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with data lakes (e.g., Azure Data Lake Storage, Delta Lake) and lakehouse architectures.
• Expertise in DataBricks and/or Apache Spark (PySpark, Spark SQL).
• Strong Python skills for scripting, automation, and pipeline development.
• Relevant certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark, or Certified Data Management Professional (CDM).
