Principal Technical Program Manager (IoT)

TL;DR

Principal Technical Program Manager (IoT): Supporting the Engineering team in delivering customer-focused product capabilities and enhancements with an accent on process improvement across engineering and visibility upward to the Executive Team and the Board of Directors. Focus on prioritizing well, communicating clearly, and demonstrating a consistent track record of delivery.

Location: Hybrid in Boston, MA. Teams are expected to come together in the office on two core days, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

Salary: $161,000 to $237,000 annually.

What you will do

• Work across organizations in hirify.global, influencing internal stakeholders, partners, system owners, and/or architectures.
• Drive business and technical discussions related to initiatives, ensuring clear and concise communication in both verbal and written forms.
• Deliver change management and process introduction from pilot through widespread adoption, especially related to driving engineering efficiency across software and hardware engineering.
• Build end-to-end understanding in key areas that benefit the organization, facilitating technical trade-offs between short-term engineering team needs and long-term business needs.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to streamline engineering processes.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working with software engineering teams.
• 5+ years of experience in technical leadership roles (e.g. technical program management, systems architecture, software engineering, etc.).
• 10+ years of experience with software development lifecycle from conception to delivery.
• 5+ years of technical project management experience and demonstrated knowledge of program management best practices.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, or other related fields or relevant work experience providing credibility in engineering and development domains.
