Associate Electrical Engineer (Engineering)

TL;DR

Associate Electrical Engineer (Engineering): Supporting a variety of substation projects up to 765kV in detailed design and EPC, focusing on protection and control design deliverables. Focus on yard layout plans, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, and auxiliary AC/DC power systems within high voltage substation designs.

Location: Orlando, FL. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.

What you will do

• Support substation projects up to 765kV in detailed design and EPC.
• Develop protection and control design deliverables, including protective relays, panel arrangements, and AC/DC schematics.
• Develop physical design deliverables, including yard layout plans, grounding, and control building arrangements.
• Prepare equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement and construction.
• Correspond with clients, vendors, and subcontractors and adhere to design budgets and schedules.
• Perform QA/QC responsibilities and provide support to business development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background check and drug screen.

Nice to have

• High voltage (HV) substation design experience – Physical and/or Protection & Controls.
• Engineering-in-Training (EIT) Certification.
• Proficient with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office Programs.
