TL;DR

IT Administrator (GCP): Supporting day-to-day IT operations, employee onboarding/offboarding, and overall system performance with an accent on managing, securing, and optimizing cloud environments. Focus on troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues with minimal disruption to users.

Location: Candidates must be based in the Greater Vancouver Area for occasional equipment handling.

Salary: $35/hour (40 hours a month)

What you will do

• Provide remote technical support across the full employee lifecycle.
• Manage and resolve IT tickets, ensuring timely communication and documentation.
• Support and maintain cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Administer user accounts across tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, and other SaaS platforms.
• Identify and address security vulnerabilities, including phishing risks and endpoint protection.
• Maintain clear documentation of systems, configurations, and processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role in a cloud-based environment.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (required).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools).
• Deep understanding of GCP IAM, including roles, policies, and access controls.
• Solid understanding of networks, systems, and IT security best practices.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.

Nice to have

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud certifications, CompTIA) are an asset.
