Salary: $165,000 – $172,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Develop and maintain credit risk and repayment models that power underwriting and decision systems.
• Design and engineer predictive features using transaction-level data to forecast income flows and spending behaviors.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize production ML models using AWS and the Snowflake ML Platform.
• Investigate credit performance and identify root causes of model drift or unexpected repayment behaviors.
• Collaborate with product, risk, and engineering teams to translate data insights into credit strategy refinements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in data science and machine learning.
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end ML projects from research and development to deployment and monitoring.
• Experience building and productionizing credit or risk assessment models.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or XGBoost.
• Strong command of SQL for working with large transactional and time-series datasets.
• Must be based in New York City to support the hybrid work schedule (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in office).

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or specific credit risk modeling.
• Experience with cloud ML environments (AWS, Azure, Snowflake ML Platform).
• Familiarity with model explainability techniques and financial compliance requirements.
• Expertise in time-series analysis, forecasting, and temporal feature engineering.
