TL;DR

Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (GCP/AWS): Building and evolving systems to automatically run product services reliably with an accent on infrastructure-as-code, observability, and disaster recovery. Focus on designing high-availability distributed systems, eliminating single points of failure, and mentoring engineering teams in reliability best practices.

Location: Must be based in Seattle, WA; role is 100% onsite (5 days a week)

What you will do

  • Define and maintain service level objectives (SLOs) and indicators (SLIs) to ensure system performance.
  • Build and manage infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, Puppet, or Ansible.
  • Implement observability systems including monitoring, telemetry, tracing, and alerting.
  • Design for high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery across multi-AZ and multi-regional cloud environments.
  • Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and mitigate system failures.
  • Mentor and train platform and software engineers on reliability topics and best practices.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Seattle, WA, 5 days a week.
  • 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
  • 5+ years of experience with Linux/UNIX systems and cloud environments (GCP/AWS).
  • 5+ years of experience coding in object-oriented languages (Java, Python, Go, or Kotlin).
  • 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Professional certification in AWS or GCP preferred.
