What you will do

• Design and maintain robust, scalable software test frameworks and infrastructure for HIL and component-level testing.
• Automate tests for avionics computers and electronic hardware used in spacecraft.
• Collaborate with hardware, avionics, and software engineers to define requirements and troubleshoot issues.
• Integrate test infrastructure with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions) to streamline the testing process.
• Develop tools and utilities to improve test efficiency, coverage, and the reliability of results.
• Analyze test data to identify failures and work with engineering teams to resolve anomalies.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on test automation or infrastructure.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Proven experience testing embedded systems or using HIL testbeds.
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
• Must be a U.S. person to access export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Experience testing avionics or aerospace hardware systems.
• Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with aerospace communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, RS-422/485).
• Experience with data acquisition (DAQ) systems and sensor integration.
• Programming experience in C/C++ or Rust.
