TL;DR

Focus on creating conda recipes, optimizing the development lifecycle, and collaborating with open-source maintainers.

Location: Must be based in Ukraine (Remote or Office)

What you will do

  • Create and update conda recipes for building, testing, and releasing packages.
  • Develop and maintain source code in C and C++, managing dependencies and creating patches.
  • Identify and automate repetitive manual tasks to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate directly with client-side software engineers and open-source package maintainers.
  • Plan sprints, estimate scope, and elicit requirements for the project.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Software or DevOps Engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++ with experience in releasing native applications on Windows platforms.
  • Competence in Linux and Windows administration and build tools like CMake, Autotools, nmake, and gcc.
  • Experience with Git and the full software development lifecycle.
  • English: Intermediate level required for daily communication with the client.
  • Location: Must be based in Ukraine.

Nice to have

  • Contributions to open-source repositories.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with packaging software using Homebrew, RPM, or Conda.
  • Proficiency in Python or the R programming language.
