What you will do
- Lead new product development from the brainstorm phase through mass production for the Outdoor product portfolio.
- Manage and mentor a team of product developers, providing guidance and holding them accountable for deliverables.
- Define detailed product specifications by aligning consumer needs, market gaps, and new technologies.
- Establish performance and user experience targets in collaboration with engineers and industrial designers.
- Manage product cost structures and collaborate with supply chain and merchandising on sourcing strategies.
- Oversee the creation of go-to-market collateral, including instructional materials and post-purchase support.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in product development, product marketing, or human factors engineering, preferably in consumer goods.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience hiring, managing, and goal setting for team members.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively presenting to executive leadership.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Needham, MA
