Senior GCP Cloud Engineer (GCP): Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform with an accent on infrastructure automation, cloud security, and CI/CD pipeline development. Focus on implementing IaC using Terraform, ensuring compliance with federal security standards (FedRAMP, NIST), and optimizing deployment workflows in a high-security government environment.

Location: In-Person (5 days/week) in Washington, DC. U.S. Citizenship Required.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and Deployment Manager.
• Automate and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
• Collaborate with security personnel and government stakeholders to align with federal security standards (FedRAMP, NIST).
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure SLA compliance.
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge sharing for the engineering team.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Willingness to obtain a security clearance.
• 4+ years of cloud engineering experience, with at least 2 years specifically on GCP.
• Proficiency with GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, BigQuery).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Cloud Build).
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with federal government contracts and ATO processes.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
