DevOps Engineer (GCP)

TL;DR

DevOps Engineer (GCP): Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform for a high-security government environment with an accent on infrastructure automation, cloud security, and CI/CD pipelines. Focus on implementing IaC using Terraform, optimizing GCP services, and ensuring compliance with federal security standards like FedRAMP and NIST.

Location: In-Person (5 days/week) in Washington, DC. U.S. Citizenship Required.

What you will do

• Design and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
• Automate and manage CI/CD pipelines to support development and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with security personnel and government stakeholders to ensure system compliance.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure cloud services meet SLAs.
• Implement cloud best practices and ensure compliance with federal security standards (FedRAMP, NIST).

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Willingness to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, VPC, and IAM.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Cloud Build).
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts and understanding of ATO processes.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
