TL;DR

Azure DevOps Engineer (Azure): Designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud solutions for federal IT environments with an accent on Azure infrastructure, automation, and security. Focus on developing Terraform templates for IaC, managing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.

Location: Hybrid, On-site 4 days/week in Washington, D.C. (U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret clearance required)

What you will do

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, VNets, Storage, and Azure AD.
  • Develop and maintain Terraform templates as the primary Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool.
  • Deploy, configure, and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments and troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab using PowerShell, Bash, and YAML/JSON.
  • Implement secure cloud practices aligned with NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP standards.
  • Manage Azure networking components and monitor system health using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

Requirements

  • Active Secret or higher clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC four days per week.
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) in production and knowledge of federal security frameworks.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
  • Knowledge of Azure serverless tools such as Functions, Logic Apps, and Event Grid.
  • Experience with Azure Cost Management and FinOps practices.
  • Prior experience supporting DoD or federal agency cloud environments.
