What you will do

• Collaborate with hardware, systems, firmware, and motion control engineers to integrate new drive-by-wire systems or features.
• Coordinate with drive-by-wire hardware suppliers on technical content and discussions.
• Perform hands-on testing, bring-up, debug, and characterization of systems.
• Develop and test proof-of-concept drive-by-wire control scripts.
• Support system actuator characterization and safety case progression efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Must be a U.S. person (citizenship or permanent residence) to comply with national security and export control regulations.
• 2+ years of experience in software/firmware programming with CAN buses.
• Proficiency with CAN bus programming (including J1939), tracing, and debugging using Python and Vector tools.
• Familiarity with automotive hardware development and drive-by-wire systems integration, particularly for heavy-duty vehicles.
• Experience reviewing technical datasheets, system descriptions, and DBC documentation.
