TL;DR

Electrical Engineering Co-op (Consumer Electronics): Supporting the development and testing of next-generation Ninja products with an accent on circuit-level troubleshooting and lab-based validation. Focus on designing analog and digital circuits, performing board bring-up, and refining microprocessor-based control platforms.

Location: Onsite in Needham, MA, United States. No relocation or housing assistance provided.

Salary: $27 - $40 per hour

What you will do

  • Support the design and testing of analog and digital circuits, including low-noise systems and power supply architectures.
  • Assist with board bring-up, debugging, and validation of real-time embedded electronics.
  • Develop microprocessor-based control and communication platforms through simulation, prototyping, and lab testing.
  • Conduct failure analysis for field-reported issues and collaborate on cross-functional problem-solving.
  • Contribute to technical reviews, design documentation, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, and Product Testing teams to align electrical solutions with product goals.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program, or have graduated within the past year.
  • Must be an electrical engineering major.
  • Must be able to work full-time (40h/week) onsite in Needham, MA.
  • Strong understanding of Bipolar and CMOS technologies; foundational knowledge in power electronics preferred.
  • Experience with electrical design tools such as LTSpice.
  • Hands-on lab experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes, function generators, and power supplies.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with PCB design software like Altium.
  • Exposure to DC/AC performance, power consumption, BLDC motors, and EMC considerations.
  • Prior internship or project experience in consumer electronics or small appliances.
  • Surface mount soldering skills.
  • Experience with Visual Basic programming.
