What you will do

• Develop scalable, modular, and real-time embedded software architectures for an autonomous vehicle platform.
• Lead the design and validation of software for safety-critical embedded platforms, ensuring deterministic behavior.
• Mentor and guide team members through technical leadership and rigorous code reviews.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and implement robust fault handling within the software.
• Coordinate tasks among team members to ensure on-time delivery of system components.
• Diagnose and resolve embedded software issues during real-world vehicle testing and field deployments.

Requirements

• Expertise in C++ for embedded systems development in safety-critical environments.
• Experience with safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, IEC 61508, or IEC 62304.
• Proven experience in Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and BSP development.
• Strong understanding of multithreaded and real-time software design.
• Proficiency with CAN and Ethernet communication protocols, specifically in automotive contexts.
• Must be a U.S. person or meet specific citizenship/residency requirements due to U.S. export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Understanding of RTOS concepts and programming (e.g., FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS).
• Experience taking a product through to production and maintaining it for paying customers.
