What you will do

  • Own the autonomy software stack, including perception and localization pipelines running on vehicle-mounted embedded compute.
  • Lead the architecture of the product autonomy stack to support scaling across diverse vehicle types and facility layouts.
  • Design and implement algorithms to reliably detect and record inventory under variable lighting and motion.
  • Improve scan accuracy through algorithmic improvements and tighter coordination with ML perception models.
  • Collaborate with hardware and field teams to diagnose and resolve issues on deployed systems using log data.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years building autonomy, robotics, or perception systems on physical hardware in production.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Python for resource-constrained compute platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with camera-based detection, localization, or tracking pipelines.
  • Ability to set technical direction and take end-to-end ownership of complex systems.
  • Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ROS2 or similar robotics middleware in a production context.
  • Background in warehouse, logistics, or industrial automation environments.
  • Familiarity with sensor fusion, calibration, or multi-camera systems.
  • Experience with SLAM, odometry, or other localization approaches on mobile platforms.
