Location: Hybrid in Sunnyvale, California (at least 3 days per week in office)

Salary: $189,300 - $290,600

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of core platform software for autonomous vehicles and cloud integrations.
• Collaborate with product management and hardware engineering to define requirements and deliver verifiable software.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure platform reliability and safety.
• Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap and strategic planning for on-AV platform services.
• Mentor senior and junior software engineers, fostering their technical and career growth.
• Maintain high software quality standards through thorough code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of software development experience, specifically with complex distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python for production-quality software.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale technical projects.
• Deep expertise in robotics, distributed systems, embedded systems, or RTOS.
• Must be based in or able to report to the Sunnyvale, CA office.

Nice to have

• Experience with ROS or similar robotics middleware platforms.
• Experience designing software for CPU and memory-constrained environments.
• Knowledge of safety-critical systems and functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
