What you will do

• Lead initiatives to deliver state-of-the-art closed and open-world detection capabilities.
• Expand and fuse detection models to improve long-range performance.
• Optimize model frameworks, architectures, and data pipelines.
• Develop robust software for real-time, resource-constrained onboard vehicle deployment.
• Drive cross-functional workstreams from problem definition to final delivery.
• Contribute to the technical direction of the perception organization and build consensus on technical topics.

Requirements

• Extensive experience architecting, training, and deploying deep learning models in real-world environments.
• Proven track record of driving applied research from conception to productization or publication.
• Experience with detection, segmentation, or tracking for real-time robotic applications.
• Strong proficiency in software engineering and ML algorithm design.
• Fluency in Python and experience with C++.
• Must be able to verify U.S. person status, residence, or citizenship due to U.S. national security laws and export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in sensor fusion.
