What you will do

• Design, build, and operate backend services and internal platforms using Python to enable data pipelines and application workloads.
• Architect and manage AWS-based cloud-native systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to manage cloud assets.
• Support data platforms and ML-adjacent workloads through the design of systems integrating relational databases and event-driven flows.
• Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines, establishing observability standards through metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead root cause analysis for system improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, backend engineering, data engineering, CloudOps, or SRE.
• Strong experience building and operating production services in Python.
• Significant hands-on expertise with AWS (VPC, IAM, EKS/ECS, RDS, S3).
• Proficiency with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and automated testing.
• Strong operational mindset and willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Prior experience on data platform, analytics, or ML infrastructure teams.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or streaming data patterns.
• Experience building or evolving internal developer platforms or shared infrastructure services.
