What you will do

• Develop the strategy for safe autonomous system development, deployment, and maintenance referencing ISO 8800 and ISO 21448.
• Define safety strategies and targets for autonomous driving systems in collaboration with partners and customers.
• Collaborate with software, data science, and systems engineering teams to ensure safe training of machine learning models.
• Establish safety launch targets (Safety Performance Index) across vehicle behaviors and in aggregate.
• Create and manage the detailed functional safety case according to UL 4600 and ISO 26262.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Safety Engineers through the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a highly technical field.
• At least 10 years of experience as an engineer or in Autonomous Vehicle Development.
• Demonstrated experience in safety case management from conception to release.
• Deep knowledge of AI safety standards including ISO 8800 and ISO 24118.
• Strong experience in safety leadership involving ISO 26262, ISO 21448, or UL 4600.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
• Functional Safety Engineer/Professional/Expert Certification.
• Proven track record as a Safety Manager through a complete product lifecycle.
• Experience with ADS integration.
