What you will do

• Design, train, and evaluate multimodal foundation models for multi-robot mission execution.
• Drive model development decisions including architectures, data mixtures, and training recipes.
• Curate large-scale training datasets from synthetic and real-world sources.
• Develop memory, communication, and planning capabilities for AI agents.
• Build and improve simulation environments for synthetic data and reinforcement learning.
• Collaborate with robotics and mission teams to integrate AI into onboard autonomy stacks.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in AI model development, including 2+ years with multimodal or agentic systems.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to export control regulations.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and modern machine learning infrastructure.
• Experience with distributed compute for large-scale deep learning.
• Solid grasp of SFT, DPO, and RLVR training techniques.
• Proven ability to take research from prototype to production.

Nice to have

• Experience building closed-loop simulation or reinforcement learning environments.
• Advanced graduate research in AI, robotics, or machine learning.
