Software Solutions Engineer (Energy Storage)

What you will do

• Deploy and support the VaultOS Power Plant Controller and Energy Management System across Australian utility-scale facilities.
• Develop software drivers in Java to integrate VaultOS with external systems like SCADA and EMS.
• Create and execute automated test frameworks in Python for system validation.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement fixes to reduce system downtime.
• Deploy compute and network equipment onsite and provide remote operations support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of SCADA, project, and commissioning engineers.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software, test, or systems engineering.
• Proficiency in Python (automation) and Java (driver development).
• Strong knowledge of Linux and networking protocols (TCP/IP, Fortinet, MOXA).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and distributed systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS cloud systems.
• Background in renewable energy systems, BESS, EMS, or SCADA.
