Location: Hybrid / Remote. Roles are generally not restricted by location, though the company has a presence in Romania (Bucharest), Malta, UK, Italy, Austria, Serbia, and UAE.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Java.
• Build and optimize slot game backends specifically for the Game Studio.
• Lead the decommissioning of legacy PHP systems by migrating them to modern Java architecture.
• Collaborate with integration teams and external providers to ensure seamless service connectivity.
• Optimize application scalability and performance through refactoring and caching mechanisms.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members to maintain high coding standards.

Requirements

• High proficiency in Java with a strong understanding of OOP and design patterns.
• Prior experience in iGaming, specifically building slot game backends.
• In-depth knowledge of the Spring technology stack.
• Experience with Kafka and event-streaming systems within a microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with relational databases, NoSQL, and caching systems.
• Proven fluency in English (written and verbal).

Nice to have

• Experience with PHP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
