is building an AI operating system for consumer lending, partnering with large mortgage lenders to automate contact centers and compliance operations with AI voice agents.
What you will do
- Architect and own core systems powering real-time AI voice and compliance workflows.
- Optimize performance to deliver sub-700ms latency using event-driven architecture and parallel processing.
- Deploy, operate, and scale resilient distributed systems using Kubernetes.
- Develop a self-improving AI system that evolves based on customer interactions and human feedback.
- Ship features rapidly from whiteboard design to live production in banking environments.
Requirements
- Strong fundamentals in building high-performance, real-time backend systems, primarily using Python.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, reliability, and fault tolerance.
- Excellent database design and performance optimization skills.
- Bias for ownership and ability to operate in messy, high-velocity environments.
- Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco.
Nice to have
- Experience training, designing, or building production AI/ML systems.
- Previous startup or founder experience.
