Location: Remote (USA & Canada only — PST hours preferred); Hybrid in San Jose, California

Salary: USD 125,000 - USD 175,000

What you will do

• Lead the design process for the OS, focusing on usability for both kids and adults.
• Design and prototype UI/UX for a custom Android-based operating system, including navigation and play modes.
• Create user-friendly web-based features for off-device account management.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align on objectives and deliver innovative design solutions.
• Develop and maintain a consistent design language and system across the OS and web platforms.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and identify pain points.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in product design or UI/UX design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in interaction and visual design for consumer-facing digital products.
• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, or similar design and prototyping tools.
• Must be based in the USA or Canada.
• Ability to align with PST hours.

Nice to have

• Experience designing operating systems or 10-foot UI experiences.
• Background in designing curated and editorialized entertainment content libraries.
• Expertise in creating reusable design components and maintaining design systems.
• Experience conducting independent user research and usability testing.
