What you will do
- Own the delivery and outcomes of a cross-functional AI innovation team, supporting multiple project streams.
- Manage and support engineers through regular feedback, coaching, and structured career development.
- Drive roadmap planning and execution, ensuring a well-prioritized backlog aligned with company goals.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, and AI/ML teams to translate strategy into actionable technical initiatives.
- Champion strong engineering practices, including observability, managing technical debt, and long-term maintainability.
- Represent the team to stakeholders, communicating risks and advocating for both business needs and engineering health.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing and coaching engineers with a focus on career growth.
- Ability to own team outcomes end-to-end, balancing delivery speed with technical quality.
- Broad technical fluency in the AI/ML domain to guide design discussions and decision-making.
- Strong execution skills in forecasting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Must be based in or authorized to work in Canada or the United States.
