What you will do

• Manage a medical equipment program compliant with healthcare standards and regulatory agencies.
• Oversee recall and safety alert programs for medical devices, including hazard investigations.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety goals, SMDA, and TJC requirements.
• Apply expertise in computer-based medical systems, networking protocols, and information security.
• Maintain standards aligned with International Standard Organization (ISO) requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in biomedical engineering and Certification as a Clinical Engineer (CCE).
• 20+ years of experience maintaining medical equipment and managing hospital medical equipment programs.
• 10+ years of expertise in incident investigations involving medical equipment and national guidance setting.
• Experience within a VA medical center and understanding of VHA, VISN, and Biomedical Engineering department operations.
• Strong collaborative communication skills with technical and professional staff at various levels.
