Backup Engineer (Rubrik)

What you will do

• Operate Rubrik clusters and SLA domains, monitoring jobs and resolving failures.
• Onboard new VMs, databases, and clients into backup policies.
• Perform regular restore tests (file, VM, database) and document DR evidence.
• Manage retention, archival, and capacity utilization, initiating expansions when needed.
• Troubleshoot backup/restore issues related to agents, networks, and performance.
• Produce compliance reports (success rates, RTO/RPO) and maintain runbooks for recovery procedures.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Rubrik (SLA domains, instant recovery, archival) in on-prem and cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of backup/restore strategies for VMware, Windows/Linux, and databases.
• Experience with network tuning, agent deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of DR concepts (RTO/RPO) and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes, reporting, and capacity/licensing management.
• Must be based in or be able to work in Warsaw or Garwolin, Poland.
