What you will do

• Own and evolve the web frontend platform architecture (React / Next.js) with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Write and ship high-quality production code, setting the standard for React, TypeScript, and frontend engineering best practices.
• Design systems that handle large-scale traffic and improve deployment safety and failure recovery.
• Partner with Platform and Infrastructure teams on scaling, load balancing, caching, and lifecycle management.
• Drive cross-cutting initiatives such as rendering strategy improvements and reducing redundant backend load.
• Provide technical leadership across teams, mentoring engineers and influencing frontend architecture decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong frontend focus.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript fundamentals, NextJS and TypeScript.
• Experience with server-side rendering (SSR), modern frontend architecture, and testing frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guiding teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to have

• Proven ability to drive systematic change in frontend engineering across multiple teams.
• Experience operating frontend systems under high traffic or adversarial conditions.
• Familiarity with performance optimisation techniques for frontend systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts.
