TL;DR
Technical Consultant (C#/.NET): Implementing and scaling the Operate platform for enterprise law firms with an accent on custom workflow development and technical escalations. Focus on building server-side plugins, developing custom UI elements, and bridging the gap between client requirements and core product innovation.
Location: Hybrid (Sydney, Australia). Must be based in Australia and attend the Sydney office at least twice per week.
Salary: $119,000 – $161,000 AUD

What you will do
- Handle 2nd and 3rd line technical escalations to resolve complex full-stack issues from the UI to the database.
- Develop custom UI elements and workflows using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Create server-side plugins in C# to expose APIs and implement custom business logic.
- Build strong relationships with enterprise customers to ensure successful platform adoption.
- Partner with the product team to promote client-specific innovations into the core platform.
- Contribute to technical documentation and video tutorials for the customer knowledge base.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SQL Server.
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles, gathering requirements and providing support.
- Solid understanding of OOP principles and clean coding practices.
- Familiarity with Azure, DevOps, or similar cloud-based delivery models.
- Must be based in Australia to support the Sydney hub.
Nice to have
- Strong SQL tuning skills, including execution plans and indexing strategies.
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or performance-critical applications.
- Open-source contributions or a public GitHub profile showcasing your work.
