Platform Fullstack Software Engineer

Platform Fullstack Software Engineer: Building and maintaining core services, shared libraries, infrastructure, and developer tooling that other engineers build on top of every day with an accent on reliability, scalability, and developer experience. Location: Must be based within commuting distance of hirify.global's hubs in Barcelona or London. Relocation assistance is available from anywhere in the world.

What you will do

• Product development in NodeJS, Python/Django, and/or React to build new systems and support existing ones.
• Take ownership over critical shared services that power transactions across the entire suite of customer-facing services.
• Design, implement, and test system architecture.
• Work in an Agile environment with strong attention to well-documented code, unit testing, and continuous integration.

Requirements

• "Platform Engineering" mindset.
• Pragmatism and obsession for simplicity, efficiency, and performance.
• Extensive experience in similar roles building technically complex products in any web programming language, with a focus on the backend.
• Expertise in server-side, client-side, or full stack development.
• Obsession for quality and testing.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and frameworks.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI coding tools during the development process, such as Copilot, Cline, or similar.
• Experience building AI-backed product features using AWS, GCP, or OpenAI platforms.
• Experience in the travel industry.
• Experience working with infrastructure and infrastructure as code.
• Experience working with high-performing, Agile development teams.
• Open source contributions.
