What you will do

• Design and develop full-stack solutions within a scalable microservices environment.
• Own technical solutions from initial design through to production deployment.
• Manage system complexity, technical debt, and evolving data structures across multiple database types.
• Collaborate with product and stakeholder groups to define quality standards and deliver business value.
• Mentor junior team members and uphold engineering best practices.
• Maintain a proactive approach to identifying and solving complex technical bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience with modern backend languages (Node.js, Python, Java, Golang, or Rust).
• Proficiency in frontend development using a modern framework (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Knowledge of SQL database design, automated unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship not provided).
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (2+ days per week) from the Dundee office.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices architecture and No-SQL database design.
• Background in serverless architectures or event stream processing.
• Experience shipping reusable frontend components or SDKs.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
