What you will do

• Collaborate with designers and engineers to deliver high-quality, end-to-end identity verification products.
• Design, build, and maintain robust systems from frontend interfaces to scalable public APIs.
• Prototype and iterate on solutions to meet rigorous performance, reliability, and accessibility standards.
• Champion privacy and security practices throughout the product lifecycle.
• Write automated tests and develop resilient code to ensure system safety and stability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical debt management and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Strong background in backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Kotlin.
• Must be able to lawfully work within Portugal or the United Kingdom with unrestricted authorization.
• Ability to design and implement scalable, secure systems across the stack.
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, and agile development processes.

Nice to have

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
